The Weighing of the Options
Step 3 of the Decisioning Practices: where the rubber meets the road, and the options start to get real.
We've identified the problem, and we've got someประก OPPs, but now we have to decide which ones are worth pursuing.
This is the part where we start to get our hands dirty. Where we weigh the pros and cons, and try to figure out which option is most likely to get us what we want. Or, in some cases, what we don't want to do.
It's like trying to choose a flavor of ice cream, but instead of flavors, we're choosing between:
- The Option of Doing the Thing
- The Option of Not Doing the Thing
- The Option of Doing the Other Thing
- The Option of Doing the Other-Other Thing
Or, in our case, the Option of Doing the Thing, but with More Bells and Whistles.
And that's where we are now. In the midst of this options-filled maelstrom. Where the choices are endless, and the decisioning is real.
But don't worry, we'll get through it. We'll weigh the options, and we'll choose the one that's best for us. Or, at the very least, the one that's least likely to get us fired.
